Sugar cravings can crop up for a myriad of reasons. Here are a few:
  • 1) Dehydrated? Cravings can come up if you are dehydrated so make sure to have a glass of water and re-check in with your craving.

  • 2) Are you hungry? It is easy to eat sweets when your body is hungry. Make sure to eat something real and then re-check in with your craving. Protein is a great way to kill a sugar craving.

    3) Sugar Craving? If you are still craving sugar after you have eaten, it may be your gut bacteria speaking to you. Too much bad gut bacteria creates sugar cravings as it is their food source. Make sure to take some Probiotics and eat some fermented foods.

    4) Emotional Eating? If after all of this you are still craving sugar, check in with your emotional state. Are you stressed, anxious, bored, upset, sad, angry? Ask yourself: What am I really looking for? What emotional nourishment am I seeking?
